![]() ![]() A display driver for Mac OS 10.5+ running as a VMware guest OS. Boot Camp itself doesn't support 64-bit yet, but only in the sense that it doesn't supply the necessary 64-bit drivers. Boot Camp is always recommended for gaming because of the direct hardware access. VMware's 3D is incomplete, with only DirectX 8.1 and no OpenGL. The driver needs to be re-engineered to comply with Apple's model. The Mac OS X driver model is radically different from Linux or FreeBSD driver models, so it's not possible to port a driver by just recompiling. Attached is a VMware SVGA II display adapter driver for OSx86 Leopard running as a VMware guest. During the “hardware validation check”, the VMware SVGA graphics driver is misrepresented as being incompatible. A number of Fusion uses however are hitting an issue when trying to upgrade from Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. Windows 10 released today, and many users are teeming to get started discovering all the great things that Microsoft built. ![]()
